Services

Routine Care

We offer a full range of routine services, for young to elderly patients. This includes vaccinations, anti-parasite treatments and operations. Our Heritage Health Plan offers many savings for your pets’ preventative healthcare.

Keyhole Surgery

Due to the welfare benefits for our patients, all bitch spays are performed via keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery at Heritage Vets. We are the most experienced vets in the local area with laparoscopy, and as such, we are able to offer a range of other procedures, such as gastropexy, cryptorchid castration, and abdominal biopsies.  Click here for more information about keyhole surgery at Heritage Vets.

Home Visits

We will endeavour to offer home visits. We understand the importance of being able to visit your pet in their own home, particularly for end of life care. Please get in touch if you need to discuss these services.

Surgery

Our vets are very experienced in many advanced soft tissue surgeries. These include BOAS surgery, dermoid sinus surgery (as seen in Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies), entropion and puppy eye tacking (for breeds such as Shar Peis), and flexor tenotomy for treating corns in Greyhound pads.

Nurse Clinics

Our experienced senior nurses will be on hand to offer nursing clinics for all of your pets’ needs. Whether it’s regular anal gland emptying, helping with a weight loss regime, or ball therapy to help reposition teeth, our nurses love creating a bond with you and your pet to give them the best care and advice. Routine nurse consultations will be included in our Heritage Health Plan.

Onsite Laboratory

Our in-house blood analysers, microscope and urine tests allow us to obtain same day results for many tests for your pets. With access to external laboratories for more advanced tests as needed.

Diagnostic Imaging

With digital x-ray, ultrasound and flexible and rigid endoscopy on site we are able to perform diagnostic work ups to a high standard, ensuring fast results and treatment for your pets.

Dental Suite

With dental x-ray as standard, we ensure that we can diagnose and treat a range of issues with your pets’ teeth. Regular dental care helps to prevent pain, infections, and tooth loss for our patients.

AHC

Our vets are Official Veterinarians – they have undertaken additional training to allow them to support our clients with pet travel needs such as AHCs and EHCs. Please get in touch if you think you might like to travel with your pet, as it can be a complex and lengthy process!
